Irish & New Jersey in the American Revolution - An Introduction

In honor of America's 250th anniversary, Alan will discuss the profound impact of Irish immigrants on the nation's founding. The talk will cover the 17th and 18th-century conditions in Ireland that sparked mass migration, the growth of early Irish settlements in New Jersey, and how Irish bravery directly influenced the Declaration of Independence and the Revolutionary War victory. Specific stories of Irish individuals and battles that shaped post-conflict America, will be shared plus info on using genealogy to trace ancestral ties to the fight for liberty.
